The book of James is practical and challenging at the same time. It is full of imagery, contrasts, and numerous references to the teachings of Jesus. In this study, we will see how James exhorts us, his readers, toward a life of spiritual maturity in multiple areas including our response to trials, our speech, how we treat others, and planning.
